English Tailoring Company’s (ETC) Parent company Antich & Sons (Huddersfield) Ltd over the past 9 months have been investing in a new state of the art garment production facility. Within the next couple of months they will relocate their current production to the new facility located at the head production facility of Antich & Sons Commission weaving business.
The Family owned Huddersfield based company have seen demand for a “Made in England” Garments double over the last 18 months and have put in place a new production line to cope with demand.
The English Tailoring Company offer a B2B service supplying small independent tailors and shops throughout England with a made to measure service Made in Huddersfield England. They supply a range of products to satisfy different wants and provide either a try-on or straight to finish service.
ETC has invested heavily in a bespoke ordering system which enables it's customer to order their bespoke suits. David Antich is quoted in saying” As a company we believed there was a demand for a made to measure suit, made in England that far outstripped current supply. We have put in place a production facility that can offer a very diverse product. We have blended together the traditional craftsmanship of a bespoke workshop with the modern day equipment and computer systems needed to be successful in business. We believe we have a blend of one of the youngest production workforces guided by some very senior production stalwarts. We feel this business will only continue to grow.”
With current trends for products to be made in Britain there is definitely a re-invigoration of this scene, which is something Chris & David from Antich & Sons Ltd believe strongly about. With campaigners such as Kate Hills of Make it British highlighting this demand where ever she goes, through word of mouth or on their Make it British directory. David feels “we are on the crest of a wave to bring back UK tailoring which is actually Made in England”. The feedback/ Enquiries we received from our first exhibition at meet the manufacturer in tobacco dock London in June, was enough to affirm there is a want for such a facility”.
